DNS hosting runs as a service, with multiple management levels. DNS admin can consolidate zone information on a single machine from hundreds of hosting servers and thousands of client zones. Each client can log in, access and manage his own DNS records.

Round Robin Support allows users to create load balanced DNS infrastructures in minutes. The software monitors non-responsive servers and disables their DNS records from the round robin poll once they do not answer to the selected protocol. When the resources become available, they are enabled, which results in customer requests directed to the support system.

DNS zone end-users have access to the application's web interface and can modify their zone settings in real-time. Data replication to redundant DNS servers is performed automatically, within minutes, reducing the administration and operational workload. Adding new servers to an existing infrastructure can be done in minutes.

With DNS Manager, service providers can deliver redundant DNS services to their clients. The software can gather and manage zone information from servers located elsewhere, so when the server is upgraded or during a communication breakdown or a power outage occurs, DNS Manager provides DNS redundancy.

DNS Manager architecture allows customers to disable the DNS server on their hosting machines, synchronize them with the provider’s DNS hosting infrastructure, and let their hosting clients create, delete, and edit zones in the native hosting control panel interface. All changes replicate to DNS infrastructure within minutes.

A service provider can deploy multiple DNS Manager sessions on the same physical server. On each virtual machine the administrator can have absolute control over server resources. The High Availability setup makes DNS Manager a must have application for non stop 24x7 environments.

The command line installer allows you to install DNS Manager on an existing machine that has installed a supported operating system. The server must have network access in order for the installer to be able to download files from the public DNS Manager repository.

The VMware Image can be deployed on VMware Player, VMware Workstation and VMware Server. The VMware Converter can also be deployed to VMware ESX servers. The image contains DNS Manager pre-packaged with the CentOS 5.4 operating system.
